Muhyiddin, if it is a tough sell, it is because of people like you. You are Malay first, Malaysian second. Your PM is one who calls on UMNO members to be prepared to spill blood so that UMNO can retain its hold on Putrajaya, and he also called on UMNO members to use whatever weapons they have to retake Selangor. How well do you think such words and sentiments go with the rakyat who just want to get on with life and build a better future for their children and for the country?
Then there is of course your Hisham who condoned the actions of the cow-head demonstrators and who supported Utusan's reports and false allegations against Christians and other Malaysians. You also have your Nazri for whom there is freedom of speech for men like Ibrahim Ali but there is no freedom of speech for Christian Malaysians to use the word "Allah" and no freedom of speech for the mass media other than those owned by UMNO and its cronies.
It is a tough sell because you keep on using race and religion to divide our peoples. And it is not because you belief in these things yourself. You and your cronies rob the nation and your cronies cut across race and religion. Money is your king and god. You claim to be Muslim but you and your cronies fill your pockets with the rakyat's money. You, UMNO, BN and all your cronies are the Robbing Hoods of Malaysia. You rob from the poor to give to the rich.
WATCH:
Yesterday Chris Matthews said, on the air, that Sarah Palin is "profoundly stupid."
Well that's a little, I don't know, kind of, maybe, a bit blunt.
Matthews was trying to explain why Sarah Palin will never be president. The answer is obvious, I think. Everyone would rather have Tina Fey as president. Sarah Palin and Tina Fey are both very funny. The difference is that Tina Fey is intentionally funny.
I have to say, though, Chris, that you could have made the point with a little more subtlety. For instance, you could have shown a drawing of Palin wearing a t-shirt saying "I'M WITH STUPID," and an arrow pointing up.
Or, Chris, if your show were as clever as Groucho Marx's You Bet Your Life, you could have offered these 10 additional reasons why Sarah Palin will never be president:
(1) Palin doesn't know who is buried in Grant's Tomb.
(2) Palin couldn't tell you when the War of 1812 was fought.
(3) Palin has no clue about the color of George Washington's white horse.
(4) Palin wonders on what day Latinos celebrate the Cinco de Mayo.
(5) Palin isn't sure what weighs more, a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers.
(6) Palin has no idea in what month the October Revolution took place.
(7) Palin is baffled by the question of who came up with the Monroe Doctrine.
(8) Palin would very much like to know who fought in the French and Indian War.
(9) Palin is puzzled as to who wrote "The Autobiography of Malcolm X."
(10) Palin is at a loss regarding what were JFK's initials.
Well, one thing is for sure. Sarah Palin will never figure out how to get to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
I'm not saying that Sarah Palin is dumb. But I'm not saying that she's not.
When Palin came to my district 10 days before the 2010 election to inform Central Florida that I am a "jackwagon" (video here, with 11 views as I write this) -- I thought to myself: "Wow, I didn't realize that you could fit nine letters onto one palm."
Jonathan Swift once wrote: "When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in a confederacy against him." Sarah Palin, you'll never be President of the United States. But at least you are the natural-born leader of that confederacy, now and forevermore.
Courage,

During an appearance on Fox News' "On the Record" on Thursday night, Sarah Palininsisted she has "fire in the belly" when pressed on whether she plans to run for president in the next election cycle.
The former Alaska governor was asked if she really wants the Republican presidential nomination in the wake of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee's announcementthat he will not launch a campaign for the White House in 2012. “All the factors say go, but my heart says no and that’s the decision I have made,” he said last week in explaining his decision.
"I think my problem is that I do have the fire in my belly," explained Palin of her own posture toward running 2012. "I am so adamantly supportive of the good, traditional things about America and our free enterprise system, and I want to make sure that America is put back on the right track, and we only do that by defeating Obama in 2012. I have that fire in my belly."
Addressing where she is in her decision-making process, Palin added, "It's a matter for me of some kind of practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made. One is, with a large family, understanding the huge amount of scrutiny and the sacrifices that have to be made on my children's part in order to see their mama run for president. But yes, the fire in the belly? It's there!"
The potential presidential contender said she hopes that candidates will be scrutinized for their records over the course of the campaign and not "little petty stupid things."
After criticizing the media for the capacity in which her name has landed in the headlines, Palin said, "Hammer away at our records and our intentions and what our view for America is. Lay off the petty stuff."
During an appearance on Fox News' "Hannity" earlier this week, Palin said that she's not prepared "to make an announcement" on whether she plans to run in 2012, but that she's "seriously considering it, and praying about it."
"Because of course it is a monumental leap for a family to put themselves out there again in the limelight and be ready for the scrutiny that ensues in a campaign," she explained. "So, still talking about it, and assessing, yes, the field, looking for others who are ready to go rogue and fight against the machine on both sides of the aisle in order to get the economy back on the right track and do the things that the private sector needs done to implement some solutions to all the problems that America is facing right now."
