May Allah’s wrath rains down upon these corrupted BN, EC and UMNO!MAN plans and plots: ultimately, GOD executes.
Nurul, carry on with your excellent work. You have our full support.
Unpopular Bodek King Raja Nong Chik, the ambitious FT Minister whose aspirations to challenge Nurul for her Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat is well-known. RNC as Nong Chik likes to be known has been accused of using underhanded tricks to gain the political upper-hand. Not only has Nurul’s supporters complained about his under-handed politicking, but even his own colleague, Shahrizat Jalil, the Wanita Umno chief and former Women’s minister, is believed to have fallen at his hand. This must be the most difficult test in your political career. REST ASSURED, residents in your constituency will overwhelming put their trust in you. UMNO n it’s dog RNC will go all out to cheat, but it may not transpired to victory for them.calmed soul is with you. Residents in your constituency are matured n mostly educated. They know their interests n next generation depend on you. THE PEN n/or WORD are MIGHTIER than the sword. Bangsar voters are amongst the most astute in Malaysia, after only Penangites. Nurul shouldn’t be too worried – afterall, she was the first to defeat Sharizat. Ngong Kui can only throw money around but I doubt the younger generation can be persuaded to vote BN anymore.
In Nurul, voters see the next YingLuck. They see Aung Sang Suu Ki. All brilliant and bright female politicians. All PM material. No, Bangsar voters are not short sighted like some Mat Rempits and amokish UMNO diehards. Bangsar voters know that BN is Bangsat. So go on and throw more money at them Ngong Kui. The more the merrier.
Despite his denials, RNC is dogged by talk that it was he who lit the fire in the RM250mil NFC debacle, which has landed Shahrizat’s family in deep trouble. Her husband has been charged for CBT in the national cattle livestock project, while her three children are not yet in the clear and can still be hauled up by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission for abuse of power and misusing public money.
Although Shahrizat herself was vindicated by the MACC, her career and reputation remain in tatters. Despite all efforts by Prime Minister Najib Razak to shield her, there is little doubt amongst seasoned observers that Shahrizat’s political shelf-life has expired.
A trained accountant, RNC was born in Perak but educated in the Methodist Boys’ School, Kuala Lumpur and later at Victoria Institution before studying at the Royal Military College. Najib is believed to have chosen him over scores of vying candidates on the basis that he trusted RNC because RNC came from an old and established political family – just like himself!
Perhaps this may well be why RNC, who is also the head of the Umno Lembah Pantai division, has managed to get away unscathed despite the harpooning his party received over the massive corruption uncovered in the NFC debacle, where Shahrizat’s family were accused of having bought super-luxury condominiums and other properties for themselves with public funds meant to develop the NFC project.
Whether this has emboldened to train his sights on Nurul remains to be seen, but such a blunt and barely veiled offensive might turn out to be his Waterloo. If the attack backfires, it won’t be ironic that the one who would derive the most satisfaction would be the badly mauled Shahrizat, rather than Nurul At 32, Nurul not only has age on her side but she is genuinely popular with the Lembah Pantai constituents regardless of race. The Malays there like her for her refined manners, decorum and political savvy. The non-Malays turn to her for a fair say in the country’s growing racial impasse which has been deepening due to the communal and religious politicking pushed by Najib’s Umno-BN government.
“If RNC wants to kick out Nurul, the only way he can do it is through cheating. Until the relevant authorities, the FT Elections Director, the Election Commission clarify the very serious remark made by the RO, Nurul and her supporters have every right to believe that they are marked targets
This is not the first time RNC as Nong Chik likes to be known has been accused of using underhanded tricks to gain the political upper-hand. Not only has Nurul’s supporters complained about his under-handed politicking, but even his own colleague, Shahrizat Jalil, the Wanita Umno chief and former Women’s minister, is believed to have fallen at his hand.

To many, Shahrizat’s downfall is well-deserved and the punishment she has received so far is nowhere near enough or commensurate with the NFC corruption uncovered so far. Still, Umno stalwarts are shocked at the ruthless hand allegedly played by RNC, who himself has been accused of abuse of power and benefiting his family through corrupt means. RNC has denied any involvement but has not been able to shake off the suspicion that it was he who leaked the initial NFC news – not to reform Umno or to fight corruption – but to get rid of a political rival.
Some of those in Shahrizat’s Wanita Umno clique say that while she is grateful her children have been ‘spared’, she is still simmering internally at both Najib and RNC. This is because the 59-year-old RNC was plucked from obscurity by Najib, appointed a Senator and made a full Minister in April 2009 when Najib took over the premiership from Abdullah Badawi.
The Wasseypur of fiction is safer to applaud than the actual badlands of Bihar where generations have been exploited by the State and criminal warlords, often working together. Law enforcement itself is a lie. Ask any victim, and there are thousands rotting in our jails without trial or justice, and they will tell you why. Much as I hate to admit it, even our democracy is a lie. We all know people in politics and business who manipulate the system through power and pelf. Even when they are caught, they sidestep justice because they know how to play the rotten, corrupt system. The funny thing is we survive all this because our lies that offer us hope in this darkness.
There are always superheroes who magically spring up to fight back evil. There are always placebos offered by religion, cults, alternative histories, articles of faith that we keep discovering in the hope they will lead us to deliverance. And that’s how every generation endures every injustice and finds a way to make their lives look better, their dreams look more real, their hopes glitter. If there indeed is a God particle, I would like to believe it exists in every lie we speak or live. For these lies fulfil us, make us who we are.
Reading and writing about Karl Marx does not necessarily make you a communist, but the fact that a number of distinguished philosophers are reevaluating Marx’s ideas certainly means something.
