MAYDAY! MAYDAY! THERE IS A WAR OUT THERE ! UMNO bahagian leaders

“The (Umno) president (Datuk Seri Najib Razak) has agreed. We don’t need people who want to sabotage candidates. If the candidates lose, we will also lose,”  Muhyiddin issued the warning

Bashing our UMNO bahagian leaders is a popular sport. Let’s face it, being a much  feared bahagian leaders are a pretty  dicey job to do….but someone’s got to do it!
Deputy Prime Minister and Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today warned Umno leaders and members of expulsion from the party if they sabotage the party’s general election candidates.
Much of the Muhyiddin/Mahathir opposition to Najib stems from the latter’s plans to more than cut down their influence in Umno and the Government. Nowhere is this more evident than in the list of Umno candidates drawn up for the GE, according to the political grapevine. Najib’s and Hishammuddin’s people dominate the slate of candidates.
One result has been Mahathir’s decision to hold back from funding the Najib/Hishammuddin camp for the GE. Mahathir has a formidable war chest built up from his own considerable resources as well as contributions from crony capitalists he nurtured during his long innings, 22 years, in power.
The strong warning was primarily directed at those who would be upset or frustrated at not being selected as candidates.
“If they (Umno leaders and members) resort to sabotage in the next general election, we will sack them from the party. We do not need such people, sorry.
The statistics of last general elections do not justify the self-evident depression that has overtaken The shock is that UMNO could not read the internal map of every constituency as well once it did.UMNO MUST GIVE  VOICE TO THOSE WHO FEEL DISILLUSIONED OR DISENFRANCHISED BY THE CHOICE OF  THEIR CANDIDATES. BY PLACING LOCAL CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION, VOTERS WILL BE ABLE VOTE SUITABLE CHOICES. WE HAVE NO MANIFESTO OR POLITICAL VIEW, BUT OFFER THE ELECTORATE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, AND AN END TO ‘VOTER APATHY’ the factional problem of Umno has not yet been solved. Some district leaders actually ignore Najib’s plan of fielding only those with the highest chance of winning, and insist to compete. The election would not come so soon before the problem is solved.
Therefore, Umno leaders are very likely to invest in the party president the full authority to decide on election candidates at the annual party congress, to eliminate different voices in the party. Also, Umno is expected to motivate party members and implement the party’s policy at  the Bakri Umno division delegates meeting here.

Can an election ever throw up the right candidate? Or to put it more moderately, is an election the mechanism best suited to throw up representatives that will strive to work for their constituents and attempt to better their life? Are there in-built into the electoral process, a set of imperatives that help pre-determine one kind of outcome, irrespective of the quality of the candidates? Increasingly, it would seem that what it takes to win an election is not only very different from what it takes to govern, but might well be at odds with the idea of providing governance. The privileging of representativeness in our democracy, with an emphasis on race and religion, has meant that electable candidates are chosen with a view to who has the biggest electoral draw in terms representing the interests of a community rather than select those that have a view on issues of policy or administration. At one level, democracy does not require its practitioners to come equipped with a track record, and representativeness is perhaps the most vital element in the idea of democracy, but over a period of time, what representativeness has come to mean identity rather than action; the leader resembles his or her constituents, speaks for them and on the occasion that he or she acts on their behalf, it is often through the same narrow lens of community. Under these circumstances, the election abets the process of weeding out those that see their role in more on their voters terms, and focuses its attention narrowly on those with more cronies agendas.Winning elections requires a peculiar kind of knowledge and familiarity community arithmetic, multiplied by financial resources and propped up by on-ground muscle. The reason why the incidence of criminality in politics has been such a visible presence is partly due to the fact there are great similarities between the two skill sets. It is easier for a local grown to become a politician mobilise resources and numbers far more easily but also because the electorate sees more advantages in being represented by someone who can thump the table on their behalf rather than someone who is not seen to have a realistic chance of winning. The middle class distrust of politicians is in part a sense of frustration with the electoral process. Part of the reason why visible outrage does not automatically translate into higher voting percentages is because the idea is laced with a sense of presumptive futility.

Don’t Mess With my Malay Muslim agenda,Najib UMNO’s top chef calls last orders The enemy within Lesser evil Muhyiddin the next disaster from UMNO
Let’s try to understand the 64-year-old Muhyiddin and what makes him tick. People can understand each other better amongst their own peer groups, culture and race. For example, students and youths understand their own peers. They can appreciate, envy and emulate each other, yet for motivation, people will always aim high and look beyond their own group.
That is how people should be motivated and in Malaysia’s endeavor to be a developed and great nation with high-income levels, the leadership must be able to set a high standard and work towards achieving it. It should never look back, nor should it ever lower the benchmark.
Yet Muhyiddin has displayed a different kind of mentality. His views are not in sync with what one would expect of a true leader at all. During a “buka puasa” (breaking of the Muslim fast) event organized by the Ministry of Information in collaboration with JAKIM and MAIWP, Muhyiddin proudly proclaimed that,”It has been proven that the world looks at Malaysia as a special nation that should be envied.”Dr M admitting he didn’t do a good job at all!
The poster shows Muhyiddin with Malaysian flag in the background and the wording ‘Kami Mahu Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Sebagai PM Sebelum PRU 13' (We want Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Prime Minister before the 13th general election) as well as ‘Selamatkan Barisan Nasional’ (Save the BN).There have been rumblings of the rivalry for a long while now. Muhyiddin's men can smell blood and they want to ensure he gets his turn at the PM's chair while they get their share of the goodies accordingly," It's finally out in the open. The tussle between Prime Minister Najib Razak ad his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin is gaining steam as the country hurtles towards its 13th general election in which the ruling BN coalition is expected to lose its 55-year hold on the federal government.he possibility that Najib's rivals in Umno might even try to remove him before calling for GE13.
There is a power struggle going on in Umno. This is like the Tamil saying, " Pinch the baby and rock the cradle ". The person responsible is afraid to show his face. He is a coward.
Put my men as candidates for GE 13 or else I will challenge you - subtle massage from Muhyiddin to Mr Flip Flop. This is the first clear, overt sign of the revolt by Muhyiddin and his faction against Najib. It is also the sign for the end for Najib. Johor Umno Youth's denial and lodging of police reports are a mere smokescreen. This is a brilliant move by Najib's camp using one of Sun Tzu's strategies. Najib's team realises that there is a "snake" among the BN and uses "Hitting the grass to startle the snake" strategy to lure the betrayer out from his hiding place. The snake will soon sneak out in the open space. Muhiddin has been "check" in a game of chess and he has to move.Who are they trying to cheat. Let me ask you, are you mooyidin? Come on, we can see deep inside him that he is waiting for his moment to grab the post. See what Najib did to Pak Lah, like a predator standing by to pounce on his prey. PRU 13 is his final chance to be a PM. Even better, there might not even be a chance for him to be PM after PRU13 is over. So he might be thinking, why not he become the PM to lead since NAJIB is sinking at a rocket speed. He might persuade all the UMNO elites especially the Mamak dark evil lord to practise iron fist and dictatorship the moment he become PM. After all, everyone and he himself knew that BN is HIS-STORY!!However, it was more likely that Najib would be allowed to carry the torch for Umno and BN at the crucial elections where the Pakatan are now favored to win if there is "no cheating at the ballot boxes"."If BN loses, Najib would be sacked or forced to quit immediately. If BN clings on, he would be given a bit more time but still have to step down at the Umno party elections which must be held by October 2013. Whichever the outcome, Najib's turn as Umno president and prime minister is over. In the past 4 years, all he has shown is he cannot do the job,"They blame Najib for delaying the general election until now when it is obvious BN has lost its edge and all of them will have to struggle and fight on the ground to defend their seats."
To most Malaysians race politics is gradually paling in Malaysian politics except for some UMNO crusaders who are still into this muddle. As reported, Mukhriz Mahathir, the MP for Jerlun, was reported to have cynically questioned, “Apa maksud ‘Sebangsa’ dalam tema Pakatan? (What’s the meaning of ‘Sebangsa’ in Pakatan’s Merdeka theme?)”. Is Mukhriz trying to … Read moreUMNO THE SELF-HATING MUSLIMS:STRATEGY TO HIDE FROM SELF-REFLECTION
Images of the posters, which bear the BN and Umno logos and also carry the words ‘publication of Johor BN’, have been widely spread on Facebook. Malay youths distributing the posters at busy areas and shopping malls in the Johor town centers like Skudai have also been spotted. The posters first began appearing in noticeable quantity on Merdeka Day last Friday.

Perhaps it is coincidental but the indecisive Najib surprised the nation on Sunday when he gave his strongest hint yet that GE13 would be in November, the 11th month in the calendar. 11 is his favorite number.Umno watchers do not think it was a voluntary comment. They believe the 58-year-old Najib finally gave in to pressure from party mates to hold the polls this year. Among these are Muhyiddin, who had openly pushed for a September election.

“I don’t think (Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib (Razak) can choose a candidate who is likeable by all members in a certain division. There is a habit among Umno members where if they don’t like the candidate, they will close down the operation rooms or sabotage the campaign.

Tun Dr Mahatir Mohamad said Barisan Nasional (BN) was capable of getting a two-thirds majority in Malaysia’s upcoming 13th general election on the condition that all its members must think rationally, and accept and support whoever is chosen by the party as candidates.

So choose. Stand on the side of the bully or on the side of the marginalised and trampled on? The reality and truth is we can elect in a better government. This fallacy of loyal to the government has been perpetrated for so long that nobody inquires critically what the expression really means.
