Will Americans stick with Obama?or will Malaysian stick with Najib-Rosmah

We should just leave the red paint on the bus as it is, and let it symbolize the struggle...like how the Black Eye became the beacon of the down-trodden....

These uneducated, uncultured.senseless, low mentality, kurang ajar biadaps, jobless'makan tanggong' barbaric idiots will do anything if given as little as Rm.20.00. PR members are very patience, God Fearing law abiding and would not retaliate. You will face the Karma when the time comes. This is just a pre warning for worse to come if BN lose the elections. The message of violence is already being planted to create fears. Is this a propaganda or real ?The message of PR taking over as new government has just got closer by an inch!.... UMNO-BN is really desperate. Let's finish them off in next GE.This is an act of coward BN supporters. What have BN/UMNO have to say and stop all these undemocratic hooligan acts. Are we a undeveloped country or ????. Next time get police personnel in any campaign bus and if such incident happens, the trouble makers can be caught in the act and charged in court accordingly. Najib wouldn't say or do anything about this sort of incidents. He knows it is the end of the road for him. If the BN loses at the GE13, he will be kicked out of the Umno Baru president position; if it wins, he will not be voted for the position and hence will not be the PM. That is also the reason, the main one, he has kept on postponing the date of the GE13 — he wants to stay as PM for as long as possible. We all know why.

PKR's double-decker campaign bus has been attacked again - this time in Jasin, Malacca, where it was splashed with red paint today while on the party's southern leg of the Jelajah Merdeka Rakyat campaign trail. This is clearly the dirty deed of UMNO's brainless buffoons. These desperate acts of violence and hooliganism reflect a cowardly party that is truly fearful for its future and wishes to intimidate the people instead of winning them over. But it won't work. Like the cowards that they are, they will slither away like slimey snakes when good people stand up to them. So, when they lose in GE13, they will realise that violence and intimidation will get them nowhere. But this has got Najib's blessing.Police what are you guys doing.More buttock show on Najib and Rosmah?Jasin UMNO is made up of gangsters and scumbags. The more wicked deeds they do the higher the chances of PR of winning Malacca come GE13! SO UMNO bring it on!It is now confirmed beyond the shadow of a doubt, there are no more intelligent, smart and rational UMNO members anymore. Judging from the past actions and now this - I can safely and confidently say this: It is UMNO/BN who cannot accept defeat in the next GE. They are the ones who will go on a mindless rampage, damaging properties, threatening and intimidating the public. I hope that Pakatan will take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening with the help from a reformed PDRM. This is what happens when a party is made up of imbeciles, morons and scums of the earth who just can't engage in a meaningful, rational discussion/debate with their opponents. Instead they resort to violence. Will this win support from the fence sitters? I doubt it very much. The more violence these UMNO scums use, the higher and stronger will be the support for Pakatan. Najib cannot face the fact that BN will lose big and they will be the opposition after the 13th GE.UMNO has failed the Malay race. A race known to be humble and honest. But today you see thuggery and gangsterism. What a shame! police would be jumping to handcuff innocents girls and boys having fun with no motive to destruct,LIKE IN our janji merdeka. but in cases like this, the police makes sure they dont know anything about it. We hardly see any action from them rather than compile papers of reports and receive them and then probably sweep them under the carpet. Is it because the police will only act when UMNOs say when and where. Otherswise they will be no police around AT THE TIME WHEN WE NEED. Why isnt the police giving any protection for these people to travel safely around our country.

The US unemployment rate registered a drop on Friday, but mainly because so many have simply given up looking for work.
"As a progressive inside this party working to make this president a better president, that's the frustration we've had in the course of the last 3.5 years. We saw it again [on Thursday], great rhetoric, great challenges but…that's been the schizophrenic approach all along."
- Tim Carpenter, the national director of Progressive Democrats of America
Barack Obama was aware of the new figures as he took to the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday night to promise that he could still fulfill his pledge of hope he made in 2008.
The US president spared no insult against his Republican opponents, taking on their plans to improve the economy and criticising their foreign policy credentials.

"You don't call Russia our No 1 enemy – not al-Qaeda, Russia – unless you're still stuck in a Cold War mind warp. You might not be ready for diplomacy with Beijing if you can't visit the Olympics without insulting your closest ally," Obama said.

When he ran for president four years ago Obama presented himself as a symbol of change.

On Thursday night however he pledged to be a pragmatic leader who was willing to compromise even with his fiercest critics on the right.

"[Obama] didn't make big promises [on Thursday], he basically laid out the case 'look you can either have bad or very bad'. He didn't come in and say 'the next four years I'm going to do this big programme or that big programme…"
- Ryan Grim, the Washington bureau chief, Huffington Post
"And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It'll require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one… And by the way, those of us who carry on his party's legacy should remember that not every problem can be remedied with another government programme or dictate from Washington.
He went on to say: "We know that churches and charities can often make more of a difference than a poverty programme alone. We don't want handouts for people who refuse to help themselves, and we certainly don't want bailouts for banks that break the rules."

Inside Story: US 2012 asks: Did Obama make a convincing case for voters to stick with him?

From doctored photos aimed to show greater public support than he may really command to using clones or 'bots' to cheat on a Twitter record, it looks like Prime Minister Najib Razak may really be on his last legs and clinging to straws as the next general election nears and knives are out to get him from within his own Umno party.
Despite grandiose claims from Information Minister Rais Yatim that 3.6 million tweets were recorded in just one hour on August 31 - as Malaysians sent in congratulatory National Day messages to Najib's #Merdeka55 hashtag - there has been deafening silence from Twitter.
If true the 'world record' had been falsified, it will be another huge blow to Malaysia's already stretched credibility due to a series of policy and reform flip-flops plus Najib's own media peccadilloes with several disgraced international 'image' agencies.
Doubtful 'world record' but few are surprised at the 'bold bluff'
Tto Najib's critics, Twitter's snub no longer surprises given the "clear pattern of lies used by the BN to create a false impression of political strength, while discriminating against the Opposition and using intimidating tactics to scare the ordinary folk back into supporting the BN."
"The hypocrisy and double standards are getting out of hand. When Umno supporters throw shoes at Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim inside a mosque, no action is taken to arrest or punish the culprits. Yet the police can falsely use the Sedition Act to arrest teens and youths for stomping on the picture of the PM," PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar told Malaysia Chronicle.
According to social media research house Politweet, it began tracking mentions of #Merdeka55 on Twitter from August 28, the moment Rais had announced Putrajaya’s aim to hit a one million-tweet mark for tweets sent within an hour from 8.15pm to 9.15pm on August 31.
"To date, Twitter has made no announcement on their blog about #Merdeka55. There is also no mention of the #Merdeka55 record online by other tracking websites,” Politweet pointed out in a report.
“Without a third party to verify the data, the 3.6 million tweets figure is doubtful."
Using 'Bots'
Indeed, the BN's record-beating claim had been immediately questioned by Malaysian Twitter users, many of whom have accused the organisers of rigging the contest by using “bots” to generate false publicity.
“Bots doing retweeting 4 thousand times, then u proud of hvg mils of tweets?” Malaysian Insider reported Twitter user @Amir_Shari as having written earlier this week. 'Bots' are computer programs designed to send out automated responses on the service.
Another Twitter user Cyril Dason had tweeted @cyrildason that “#merdeka55 stats online: 1,500 tweets generated 493,610 impressions, reaching an audience of 185,482 followers within the past 24 hours”, in an apparent rebuttal of the world record claim.
The observations by the doubting Malaysian Twitter users were borne out by Politweet. During the targeted hour, Politweet said it had picked up an “odd pattern” during the live stream, where “large blocks of identical tweets were being sent at the same time”.
According to the social media research house, the tweets using the #Merdeka55 hashtag were “almost entirely” confined to Malaysia, with only five tweets streaming in from outside the nation — Myanmar, Switzerland, Britain, Indonesia and Singapore.
“Further investigation revealed that a small group of users were responsible for a large volume of tweets. These users had similar characteristics, e.g. account creation date, profile photos, location and follower/following relationships. All of their duplicate tweets were sent using Tweetdeck,” Politweet wrote, calling these duplicate tweets as “clones”.
Political intrigue
Earlier this week, Najib was ridiculed when the government-controlled media front-paged photos that appeared to have been "photo-shopped" or doctored to give the impression of a huge and adoring crowd pressing forward towards him during his Hari Raya open house last month.
National news agency Bernama has denied the accusations but few Malaysians are convinced given the large number of inexplicable peculiarities in the photos.
"Najib has been accused of using Bernama to doctor the Raya picture of 100,000 people going to his open house. Of course, this will make the Umno warlords even more hopping mad," PKR vice president Chua Jui Meng had said.
Not only has the Opposition been gaining ground and are now favoured to win the 13th general election, which Najib has hinted will be in November, but within Umno there is a growing movement to oust and replace him with his own deputy Muhyiddin Yassin.

DON'T TRY TO BULLY the kids but close an eye to corrupt leaders - Guan Eng slams BN

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should show he has got a big heart by not just forgiving the teenagers who have apologised for stamping on his picture but also stop the high-handed and severe punishment of them as if they had committed some heinous crime of murder, armed robbery and rape.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein Onn must apologise for the police’s harsh and heavy-handed treatment including a 19-year old girl with handcuffs merely for stamping on the pictures of the Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when even BN leaders charged for corruption were not handcuffed.
All out to humiliate the youths
Malaysians are outraged by the handcuffs placed on the kids which included 19 year-old girl who voluntarily surrendered. Handcuffs are not usually required unless the accused is violent, or has committed a crime of violence, or may attempt to escape. In this case, handcuffing a young girl who had voluntarily surrendered is nothing but an abuse of power and an act of humiliation.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Mohmad Salleh has defended his men for handcuffing a 19-year-old girl who surrendered herself yesterday saying that the matter was very "light" and mild as she was handcuffed in front and not behind her back as proper procedures required.
Such statements not only show that the police is insensitive, irresponsible and not making any sense as why BN leaders were given special treatment and not handcuffed in the back when they were charged for corruption or cheating the public?
Hishammuddin had said stern action against those involved had to be taken as the incident is extreme and aimed at sowing hatred for the country leaders.
This is a clear abuse of power when the teenagers are investigated not for any serious criminal offences like murder or rape or armed robbery but under sections 290 and 504 of the Penal Code for being public nuisances and intentionally causing insult with an intent to provoke break the public peace, respectively. Those convicted under Section 290 may be fined up to RM400 while those found guilty under Section 504 are liable to be jailed up to two years or fined, or both.
Double standards, deliberate hypocrisy
By allowing such stern action, Hishamuddin practices double standards as no action was taken against those who behaved in a similar manner against Bersih co-Chair Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan when her picture was burnt and her dignity assaulted by a “butt-dance” performance as well as a “burger protest” in which beef burgers were grilled outside her private residence despite the fact that she is known to be a Hindu and a vegetarian.
Neither was any action taken when my own picture was stepped on, burnt and funeral rites performed with my image by Perkasa. Why is it Perkasa members are not charged for such offensive action against non-Malay leaders from the opposition PR? Why is it no action was taken against those who beat up reporters during a violent demonstration on Penang Bridge?
Is Hishamuddin and the police trying to tell Malaysians that stepping on a picture is a more serious crime compared to corruption?
By victimising young, powerless and defenceless kids, they are merely revealing themselves to be bullies and cowards. The treatment suffered by the young girl and teenagers shows the abuse of power, double-standards, bullying and cowardly tactics of Hishamuddin that question his fitness as Home Minister.
