PAS will only have a future if it is led by moderate leaders acceptable to our multi-racial society and if it continues to be an equal partner in Pakatan Rakyat. In fact, Pakatan is firmly on course to Putrajaya, if not for the ludicrous tantrum thrown up by Hadi. Those who are disillusioned with Hadi’s leadership have two options: either start a new party or replace Hadi as party leader. Whichever option to take, members have a golden opportunity in the imminent party annual meeting to ask him to account for his recent conduct, and render him vulnerable to censure or even a vote of no confidence of his leadership
The setting up of Pasma, the newly formed pro-Pakatan NGO is a contingency plan if the moderates were to lose the battle with the ulama cliques including president Hadi Awang in the coming of the much awaited 60th PAS Muktamar (General Assembly). It looks like the knives are out for the president. Hadi knows it. And he is willing to break the party up for his own personal agenda. His recent harsh rebuttals against his party opponents show that he no longer cares for the bad consequences to the party. Do not be surprised that many moderates would be sacked using his power as party chief when he cannot take the criticisms. He has gone beyond reasoning.

To all right thinking Malaysians, the two PAS state assemblypersons - Saari Sungip and Hasnul Bahauddin, have demonstrated to us what a genuine pious Muslims ought to be, one who glorify the God they believe in and honour His teachings, not human beings'. They stood by principle, more discerning and decent, honourable and show due respect to their fellow Selangoreans than those who are using silly excuses, thinking they can fool the rakyat. Sultan  move to invite the single largest party to form the government in Selangor , but this did little to strengthen the prospects of formation of a representative government with PAS struggling to work out its maths.PAS Secretary General Mustafa Ali’s statement to Harakah yesterday did little to clear the air for the Selangor public, who very much want to see an end to this debacle over the appointment of a new Menteri Besar to replace the outgoing Khalid Ibrahim. Mustafa said that PAS had complied with the Sultan’s decree that each party send in at least three names, without elaborating on who those three names were but he did add that the letter went directly to the palace from PAS president Hadi Awang’s office. It is debatable if Mustafa was even privy to the contents of the letter or if he was putting on an elaborate show to get media hounds off his back.Is Hadi obediently acceding to the royal dictate or is he using the office of party president to act unilaterally on behalf of PAS? Either way, it looks like a betrayal to the Pakatan cause, and increasingly that Hadi is willing to test options other than those offered by the coalition. This is according to PAS central committee member Khalid Samad in an exclusive interview with Malaysiakini, who attempted to provide the context which Abdul Hadi offered Azmin to defect to PAS.
Khalid, who is one of PAS leaders who did not agree to Hadi's initial support for outgoing Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim, took pains to explain Hadi's actions.
He was commenting on the Selangor menteri besar crisis in which PKR made a move to replace Khalid Ibrahim as MB with its president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, only to find Hadi and the ulama faction digging in their heels.

PAS has now become more BN friendly but MCA will become uneasy. Good for DAP. Now let's see what MCA have to say about hudud.
