Nik Abduh truly an extreme form of militant Islam Malaysia.

An MP who advocates religious dictatorship

This ridiculous statement should be taken as a wake-up call to all those naive people who praise PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat for no other reason than that he is "good" and  “a man of God" without taking into account his performance in Kelantan and his obvious failure as a father.
It is time our civil, judicial and Pas leaders come out of their bigoted closets and declare their adherence to Quid’s vision of  Malaysia and not what the clerics force upon them by their blackmail. Surrendering to them would be Talibanisation of Malaysia.  words of hate vomited from pulpits to dehumanize the society would not have been permitted Shia, Christians, Ahmadis, Hindus and even Muslims who resist the religious bigotry – had not been allowed to become an epidemic disease.. a systematic induction of an oppressive way of life that the religious PAS militants believe.
Islam’s concept of socio-economic equality for all was the most powerful phenomenon that could pose a challenge to any other ideology any time. However, Islam’s egalitarian traditions were constantly hijacked by the despotic Muslim rulers/dictators who reduced religion to a tool to consolidate their hold on power. It is the lowest level of governance which allows the people to manage issues and make decisions affecting them.

After 50-plus years of claiming to be a democratic country, unfortunately there is little knowledge inside the skulls of these PAS militants  leaders. I hope the other leaders in the party who have a better grip of the concept, has a good plan to get out of this mess.
In Islam Jihad meant a personal struggle “to follow the right path,” in any field of human endeavour.
From time immemorial month of December has always left an indelible imprint on the sands of time. Be it the birth of Prophet Jesus Christ who gave a new meaning to human existence from here to eternity, or lesser individuals not anointed spiritually by divine cahier like Quaid-e-Azam described succinctly by his biographer Professor Stanley Wolpert: “Few individuals significantly alter the course of history.  Quote: “Nik Abduh claimed that justice was achieved during Prophet Muhammad’s era, the caliphate and during monarchies like that under the Umayyad caliph Umar Abdul Aziz’s reign - all without elections”.

The Islamic State (IS) leaders, who have taken control of vast areas in Iraq, also want to set up a caliphate. These IS leaders have attracted worldwide attention because of their cruelty and brutality and in massacring men, women and children who do not belong to or subscribe to their brand of religion. They have demonstrated to the world that their caliphate model is essentially a cruel and bloodthirsty religious dictatorship. There will of course be people who will say that they do not represent Islam, etc.

But any form of government that does not allow all its citizens to have a say in selecting the leadership is some sort of a dictatorship. Nik Abduh obviously is advocating some sort of religious dictatorship. The Islamic State (IS) leaders, who have taken control of vast areas in Iraq, also want to set up a caliphate. Nik Abduh obviously is advocating some sort of religious dictatorship. In a classical democracy, it is the elected executive, which is supposed to lead the government of the day in terms of charting out a customized path to the desired development based on the needs perceived and felt by it. However, it is always the permanent executive i.e. the bureaucracy which not only provides a semblance of stability between many elected governments which come and go, but also ensures the systematic execution of the developmental schemes and programmes as conceived by the peoples’ representatives at the helm of affairs. That is why, it becomes quite imperative that the latter remain alert to the tasks and duties assigned. The overall motivation, commitment, efficiency and effectiveness of the permanent executive are some of the very critical factors, which often decide the effectiveness of any government.
It was a combination of an insatiable lust for power PAS and religious militants in cahoots
religious nationalism is guided by religious law — Shariah — that includes clauses about punishing blasphemy as a deadly sin. It is thus of vital importance that Muslim scholars courageously, even audaciously, address this issue today. They can begin by acknowledging that, while Shariah is rooted in the divine, the overwhelming majority of its injunctions are man-made, partly reflecting the values and needs of the seventh to 12th centuries — when no part of the world was liberal, and other religions, such as Christianity, also considered blasphemy a capital crime.
