Cut and paste! Najib Razak,1 Malaysia

Datuk Seri Najib Razak insisted today that his 1 Malaysia concept was not a carbon copy from another country despite claims by the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) that it resembled the 1 Israel concept.
Najib said today that he was offended by such claims, saying that it was a downright “big lie”.

He maintained that the 1 Malaysia concept was introduced shortly after he became prime minister in 2009.readmore It’s a policy of special rights for special Malays. The puteras in the Bumiputeras.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak insisted today that Malaysia is run by “very competent” politicians, contrary to remarks allegedly made by Singaporean officials in a WikiLeaks expose. The prime minister was referring to the leaked US State Department cables which reported Singaporean senior government officials as saying in 2008 and 2009 that Malaysia’s “decline” was due to “incompetent politicians.”

These McKinsey boys must be running circles around our PM. We have been deluged with all sorts of acronyms. Indeed our economic plan for the country is a smorgasbord of sorts, laden with acronyms. Just as we thought we have had enough, out comes another — PDP — Project Delivery Partner. Man oh man.

If Anwar's allegations are true, then he also has direct links with what he has alleged today. This is not only one individual, but six individuals with connections to Anwar in the International Advisory Council of Apco,” said Khairy.

And here is Anwar's reaction.......

“The 1 Malaysia concept was not copied from another country. It is my own creation. Other countries may have a one this and a one that but nowhere in this world is there a 1 Malaysia: People First, Performance Now,” he said when opening the Cuepacs triennial convention here.

In an apparent attack on PR, Najib said his government’s policies were realistic in nature and not a “dream”.

“It is very easy for us to make a political promise, but will that something based on the most populist approach be beneficial to us or otherwise?” he asked.

PR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been telling political rallies nationwide that the policies under 1 Malaysia are the exact copy of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s 1 Israel.

Anwar has maintained that he has proof of public relations consultancy firm APCO Worldwide’s link to One Israel, but claimed that he was not given a chance to explain his arguments in Parliament last week.

Last week in the Dewan Rakyat, the PKR politician had called APCO “untouchable,” and blamed the firm for the suspension of four MPs including himself last Thursday in Parliament.

Anwar also accused APCO of lying to Parliament’s Rights and Privileges Committee in its letter to the panel.

Anwar was suspended from Parliament amid loud protests and a walkout by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) MPs who called the Dewan Rakyat a kangaroo court.

The suspension was over his claim earlier this year that APCO, hired by the Najib administration, had been behind both the 1 Malaysia and One Israel concepts.

A separate suspension motion also cited three other PR lawmakers for contempt, for revealing and discussing the proceedings of the Rights and Privileges Committee on Anwar’s APCO claims.

Najib also said today that his administration was committed to steering the country towards becoming a high-income nation, but at the same time pointing out that the government could not afford to be spendthrift in its budget.

“We cannot afford to be spendthrift, we have to spend according to our capability. What is important is that the country’s future is guaranteed under the present government.

“We will do what we can, but if we spend way beyond our means then it might end up becoming a problem,” said the prime minister.

Najib, who is finance minister, claimed that there were negative implications if the country were to spend way beyond its means, saying that Malaysia’s sovereignty could be in jeopardy as a result of careless spending.

Dev Anand is disappointed. A forthcoming Rohan Sippy film starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu has been titled Dum Maro Dum. That is why. The octogenarian insists that the new film’s title is an insult to the song with the same name that featured in the yesteryear classic Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The other news that many would not know: Devsaab intends to make a sequel of HRHK. Is he planning to call it Dum Maro Dum? Possible. But we can never know for sure.

Whether or not films and serials should be named after songs is debatable. Some would say that any pair of jeans is fine as long as it fits well. Others would say that film and serial makers hunt for marketable shortcuts these days, what is being made needing an attractive catchphrase to stand out in the crowd. A good song being a good memory, filmmakers hope to create an initial buzz which is fair enough. While antithetical perspectives continue to lock horns, the truth is that more and more films and serials have titles that are lifted from songs from old and not-so-old movies.

You don’t have to be a serial watcher to know that Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat was named after a song from Aah. The phrase Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna had its origins in a Kaamchor track, while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was hijacked from a song in Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities. Creative liberty? Shortcuts? Marketing strategy? You choose the answer.

In films, the list is very interesting indeed. The title of Bachna Ae Haseeno, a Ranbir Kapoor film, was based on a song from Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin starring his dad Rishi Kapoor. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was born out of a song in Afsana Pyar Ka, whereas Laga Chunari Mein Daag was extracted from a Manna Dey epic in Dil Hi To Hai. Khoya Khoya Chand was lifted a Kaala Bazaar song, while My Name is Anthony Gonzalves was derived from the fun-filled Amar, Akbar, Anthony classic. Allah Ke Banday came from a song in Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, and even Rang De Basanti from another well-known track in Shaheed.

So many songs have been used to create titles that, if we were to pick up a diary and write down the names, the list can spill beyond its' pages easily. The function of such titles is obvious, and equally true is the fact that such plagiarism – or interpretation, as some might say – cannot guarantee houseful hoardings at the theatres. In today’s times, the story of a film leaks well before it gets released, leading to several to-view-or-not-to-view decisions. After the film’s first day at the theatres – and due to the huge number of shows – the film’s fate is decided.

Of-the-people-by-the-people-for-the-peoplean eye on Najib and links to 'that' murder

Does the Home minister suffer from a sense of denial? What is it that prohibits him from realising the seriousness of Kausikan’s comments that “Najib has his neck on the line in connection with a high-profile murder case.”

Malaysia’s ties with Singapore are frosty after the Wikileaks disclosures, but Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein can only expect a cold response from the Malaysian public.

Three days after the Wikileaks revelations, Hishamuddin denied that the Malaysian police had leaked information on Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Hishammuddin said that “…. it is irresponsible for any party to attempt to link the police or the Home Ministry as the source of the information”.

He maintained: “I would like to stress that all information and secrets pertaining to police investigations is well protected and is secured as it involves the image and credibility of the force”.

Is he able to give us an absolute guarantee that the source is not the police? Can information not be fabricated? Is information pertaining to police investigation as well protected as he claims?

In 2007, 8-year-old Nurin Jazlin disappeared in August after going out to a night market alone near her home in Wangsa Maju. A month later, her naked body was stuffed into a sports bag and left near a shop in Petaling Utama.

Soon after, Nurin's post-mortem photographs, started to appear on the net and her father, Jazimin Abdul Jalil, sued the police and the Government for the circulation of his daughter’s photos.

Jazimin said that the defendants had admitted their liability. A policeman, L/Kpl Amran, had taken home a draft containing the photographs and showed them to his neighbour whose relatives later captured them using a cellphone camera without his knowledge.

Jazimin successfully reached an out-of-court-settlement.

This may be one incident that we know of, but can Hishamuddin safely claim that all information and secrets pertaining to police investigations are well protected and secure?

When Hishamuddin was the leader of the UMNO Youth wing in 2004, Anwar had just been freed from prison, after Malaysia's highest court overturned his conviction for sodomy.

At that time, Hishamuddin, said that Anwar had menaced Malaysia’s stability and that the party should never take him back.

He said, “Let us not forget that this traitor once destroyed our unity, smeared the country's image and destroyed the economy with violent street protests.”

And yet, last week, he must have heard the Wikileaks revelations from a Singaporean official who said, “Najib has his neck on the line in connection with a high-profile murder case.”

Is Hishamuddin blind to Kausikan’s allegations about Najib and the high-profile murder? Don’t these links about a Prime minister and murder also ‘smear the country’s image’?

What about the other comments by the Singaporeans who claimed Malaysia was “dangerous”, that it was suffering from “racial conflict” and led by “incompetent politicians”? Haven’t these negative portrayals potential to “destroy the economy” and discourage investors?

We do not wish for a Home minister who acts like he is out of touch with reality. But this is the same Home minister who belittled women and said that they exaggerate the levels of street crimes.

He had allegedly said, “Most victims are women. What do women do? They go to the hairdressers... they chit-chat and suddenly it is everywhere and cause people to fear.”

Hishamuddin is privileged to live in a house which is probably in a gated community if not protected by an army of security personnel. He has no experience of the real world where crime is a constant threat.

Does the Home minister suffer from a sense of denial? What is it that prohibits him from realising the seriousness of Kausikan’s comments that “Najib has his neck on the line in connection with a high-profile murder case.”

He once famously said that time is needed to create the necessary police presence to address crime levels.

He said, “I tell the police not to get demoralised as the more people attack them, the more allocation we get”.

Maybe he should reflect that the Malaysian public is demoralised and disappointed when after the Wikileaks revelations, Hishamuddin chooses to attack only Anwar for sodomy, but he decides to avoid Najib and his alleged links to murder.

BEER DRINKING Hypocrite Muslim Home Minister In Malaysia

Mahathir’s Political Secretary Aziz Samsuddin said “Ummi Hafilda is a prostitute, sodomy would be the best way. Other ways would have no affect.”

Yes, God has sent us many signs. If not why would Augustine Paul expire at the same time as the sign above Umno’s headquarters? Was not Augustine the main scumbag in the Anwar Ibrahim trial?
Fernando then took the court through the testimony of Raja Kamaruddin Raja Wahid, a.k.a Raja Komando, who had, in fine detail, revealed how the conspiracy against Anwar originally unfolded and the role he was given in this whole conspiracy.
“Ummi Hafilda is a prostitute,” said Aziz Samsuddin Day three of Anwar Ibrahim’s appeal hearing at the Kuala Lumpur Appeal Court hit a high note today when Christopher Fernando read out transcripts of the previous trial that quoted Aziz Samsuddin as saying Ummi Hafilda Ali is a prostitute.Fernando started by recapping yesterday’s proceeding where he had told the court Ummi had been disowned by the father after she confessed to writing the letter to the Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, accusing Anwar of sodomising Azizan Abu Bakar, one-time driver of Anwar’s wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.Ummi’s father, a religious teacher, just before he died, wrote an open letter to the Harakah detailing the reasons he had disowned her and, in no uncertain terms, implicated her as the prime mover behind Azizan.“Ummi’s father died broken-hearted without ever forgiving his daughter for the role she played in framing Anwar of sodomy charges,” related Fernando.
Fernando had earlier read out Azmin Ali’s (Ummi’s brother) testimony in court that proved she played an active role in the whole conspiracy.
The prosecution never called her to testify in court to rebut this allegation, added Fernando. Instead they expected the defence to call her. The judge, in fact, even mentioned this point in his written judgment. “But Ummi would have been a hostile witness so it should have been up to the prosecution and not the defence to call her,” argued Fernando.Fernando said that the court should have invoked Section 114 (g) of the Evidence Act on the prosecution for failing to call a most crucial witness to testify in court.
Fernando then took the court through the testimony of Raja Kamaruddin Raja Wahid, a.k.a Raja Komando, who had, in fine detail, revealed how the conspiracy against Anwar originally unfolded and the role he was given in this whole conspiracy.
“The evidence of this witness will show he was invited to join the conspiracy with a view to topple the Deputy Prime Minister,” said Fernando.
“The meeting was held in the office of Aziz Samsuddin, the Prime Minister’s Political Secretary, on 26 June 1998.”
In the meeting, revealed Fernando, Aziz confirmed that Ummi and Azizan would pose no problem as “Ummi is a prostitute”.Raja Komando then asked Aziz whether there was any other way to bring Anwar down.According to Raja Komando, “Aziz replied sodomy would be the best way. Other ways would have no affect.”“Raja Komando’s role was to manage the political assassination part of the exercise,” added Fernando. “The sodomy allegation was assigned to Ummi and Azizan.”
“Raja Komando was to disseminate the allegation as far and wide as possible. He was also to spread word that Anwar is a CIA agent.”From what Fernando told the court today, it was clearly established in the meeting Raja Komando had with Aziz Samsuddin that he (Aziz) was the Chief Conspirator and that, while Ummi had written the purported “Azizan” letter to the Prime Minister accusing Anwar of sodomy, Aziz was the one who had edited and redrafted it.
The letter, Fernando said, was based on the book “50 Reasons Why Anwar Cannot be PM” – which somehow found its way into the attaché bags of almost 2,000 delegates at the Umno General Assembly that year.“The judge did not give this evidence the weight it deserved,” argued Fernando. “He erred, grossly.”“If he had given the evidence the weight it deserved, would he have arrived at the judgment he did?”And what about the tragedies befalling the rest of the gang of conspirators? Remember what happened to Aziz Samsuddin, Dr Ristina Majid, Megat Junid, Mohtar Abdullah, Ummi Hafilda Ali, Azizan Abu Bakar, Hamzah Zainuddin, Rahim Thamby Chik, Daim Zainuddin, etc.?
The only two remaining yet to hit the dirt are the AG and the IGP. These two are still awaiting judgment on earth. And when it comes it will come hard and brutal. So stay tuned to see how the remaining scumbags find their faces hitting the shit in time to come
