Khairy Jamaluddin, finally the son-in-law fawning stops

Umno Youth chief has poured scorn on Anwar Ibrahim's bid to make his sodomy appeal a litmus test for the government, stressing that it is the opposition leader and not Putrajaya that is on trial.Of course it is Anwar who is on trial. But whether he gets a fair trial is about the country, its judiciary, what UMNO has done to the judiciary, and hence about UMNO and its leaders. Yes, KJ, you are on trial too.

It is quite remarkable to what heights fawning can take one to. It takes the one who fawns to far away places and the one who is fawned upon to comfort zones where their alter ego operates unconditionally. Fawning alters the mind of both the conditioner and the conditioned. Fawning makes people believe they are exactly what they are projected to be and therefore behave in highly elevated and insensitive fashion. This form of insensitivity is a by-product of arrogance, insolence and impudence. When sons-in-law are fawned upon for no rhyme or reason, the fawner is setting a precedent of treating the son-in-law as the superior being. The mistakes of the son-in-law are not brought to their notice; they are seldom corrected and mostly encouraged. The power that is transferred to the son-in-law is unconditional and unparalleled. This is a virtue of not only a marriage but is also done to ensure that his superiority complex is never infringed upon.
This is exactly how the government and its entire machinery has treated  Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan 

 We must break free from flattery, we can start by taking a good long look in the mirror at ourselves. There will be some answers.
Why did your boss meet Saiful, a university dropout?’ Minister of Sports and Youth Khairy Jamaluddin, isn’t your boss PM Najib Razak ‘involved’ with the sodomy case when the complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan went to the then DPM’s house to meet him?Saiful is obviously a willing ‘tool’. Why this important meeting was kept secret; only coming out with it in public when exposed? Why was the number one police chief, the inspector-general of police (IGP), also in contact with the university dropout?Why was Saiful, an ordinary person, so important to be given so much attention and resources against the opposition leader?

Credibility is fructification of valued ethics. We must let our good work do the talking, all other things will naturally follow. there is so much of fawning happening around us that it has become difficult to differentiate between the real and the fake, the truth and the lie, the black and the white. We practice fakery at the drop of a hat now a days. We tell our bosses how great their work is when in reality we are smarter than the boss and he gets us to do all his pending work and the boss is a nincompoop who has been getting promoted every year because he has been telling his boss the same thing.

The son-in-law hospitality should not have extended beyond his immediate family, when it does and especially when it trespasses over onto public domain it is illogical that the son-in-law continues to be labelled as Malaysian’s private citizen. Gone are the days when kid glove treatment was the right thing to do under circumstances involving the son-in-law. The last decade has been a disaster; both the media and the past government are equally responsible to have allowed the son-in-law to rise to where he is today. .Fawning is to exhibit affection or attempt to please, as a dog does by wagging its tail, whining, or cringing or to seek favor or attention by flattery and obsequious behavior. Many think it is easier to please people by fawning all over them, it is not, as fawning is an art by itself which is done by hardening our hearts. One has to do it in a subtle manner so that it does not look crass nor should it look jocular in order to achieve the desirous result. There cannot be one person in this world who has not practiced this on another or escaped being fawned upon. Fawning is regarded as an integral dogma in the political, social and corporate circles. It is difficult to strip it off certain personalities just as it is difficult to not expect the sycophancy.
