Everybody knows UMNO do not need to instruct EC but secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.can

Says the bunch of clowns who deny PM who is MO1...

When you talk at umno gatherings you can tell your mythical stories but not to the Rakyat. The Elections Con-mission is run by the umno government and its only job is keep Najib in power so that he can continue to plunder the country

"Baling batu, sembunyi tangan" as the Malays would say to Adnan's statement. The EC is directly under the PM, who is president of UMNO. Who's Adnan trying to fool? Otherwise why redelineate? UMNO is desperate of a victory in GE14; it lost the popular vote in GE13. Without redelineation, it might lose the seats that could make it an opposition post GE14. Najib just needs to make a simple phone call to the EC chief to do the needful.
Of course UMNO/BN has nothing to do with the EC, after all the EC does not need to be told what to do. They are not that stupid that they must sit down with the UMNO/BN to discuss things. Such ways are the stupid ways of the Opposition, like the kajang Move and many other crappy things they done.
PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli watered down widespread concern in the opposition that the recent redelineation exercise by the Election Commission was to create more Malay majority seats.
According to many in the opposition, the move would benefit BN Umno has nothing to do with the Election Commission’s (EC) controversial redelineation proposal, said BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

"We (Umno) have not done (what has been accused),"

"We are going to gather all protests according to the set guidelines and regulations," he said.

He was speaking to reporters after opening the Pasir Salak Umno division delegates' meeting in Pasir Salak today, which was also attended by its division chief Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.

He said BN will hold a special meeting on Thursday to allow the various component parties to air their views.

He said the meeting will be attended by the secretaries-general of the various BN parties nationwide to discuss any dissatisfaction they have to the proposal before any decision is made to hand their objections to the EC before Oct 14.

"Umno has also requested state Umno liaision committees which have problems (on redelineation) to gather all suggestions or protests and the outcome of a study will be forwarded to EC.

"If we could, we would ask EC to review the redelineation as several Umno divisions are also unhappy, similarly the opposition could also register their dissatisfactions with EC," he said.

'Normal exercise'

Tengku Adnan, who is also Federal Territories minister, said the redelineation of electoral boundaries was a normal exercise held every eight to 12 years, depending on the increase of voters in the country.

EC secretary, Abdul Ghani Salleh had earlier announced the redelineation exercise was conducted according to Clause (2) Article 113 of the federal constitution and amendments to clause (2) article 14 of the Sabah state constitution as gazetted on Aug 18.

According to Abdul Ghani, EC would be displaying the redelineation of electoral boundaries for the peninsula and Sabah for one month starting from Sept 15 to Oct 14.

The proposal has drawn fierce criticism from both side of the political divide for various reasons, from widening the malapportionment of constsituencies to turning mixed constituencies into Malay majority seats, said to benefit Umno.

The Selangor government yesterday announced they will take legal action against the EC for not giving them a satisfactory reply over the methodology used in the redelineation of the state.

Electoral reform coalition Bersih is holding a rally on Nov 19 and has invited politicians from both sides of the political divide to take part in its seven-week nationwide convoy to promote the event.

Everybody knows UMNO do not need to instruct EC what to do, EC knows what to do for UMNO e.g. why EC has to create 1 MP in area of 7,000 rakyats and 1 MP in area with 70,000 rakyats?

ts true UMNO is not involved in the exercise. But line between BN and UMNO is blurred. Access to information on voters pattern is in the hands of the Ministry. Otherwise why bother with numbering each voter slip. Secondly government should not even bother with postal votes belonging to police and the army. They should not even allowed to vote. Thirdly why not limit to each no of voters per constituency including urban sectors. One can hope that EC reads wrongly the behavioural patterns of voters. But in this business knowledge is king.
UMNO had no hand removing the AG, it had no hand appointing the new MACC chief, it had no hand enabling the hudud bill by Hadi to be tabled in parliament, it had no hand spending the RM2.6 billion in Najibs personal account. Similarly, Hitler had no hand in 6 million jews dying in the gas chambers .If yu belief this then you will also belief that, Alantunya abducted herself and blew herself up to smithereens with C4
